Osceola - Osceola (1804-January 20, 1838) was a leader of the Seminole Indians in Florida. Osceola led the vastly outnumbered Seminole resistance during the Second Seminole War when the United States tried to remove the Seminoles from their lands.

Patrick Tonyn - Patrick Tonyn (1725-1804) was a British General who served as colonial governor of East Florida from 1775 to 1783. During his tenure, the colony enjoyed peace with the neighboring Indians, primarily due to his positive relationship with Ahaya the Cowkeeper, chief of the Alachua band of the Seminole tribe.
